There are a lot of different types of genres in fiction. Realistic fiction is one of them it’s a genre consisting stories that could have actually occurred to people or animals in a believable setting. These stories resemble real life, and fictional characters within stories react similarly to real people. Fantasy is a genre of imaginative fiction involving magic and adventure, in a setting other than the real world. Another genre is a Historical fiction, it’s where the setting is located in the past. One of the most popular fantasy novel are the book “Lord of the Rings”.
In my novel the “Pretties” the main genre is a science fiction. A science fiction book is a fiction based on imagined future scientific or technological advances and major social or environmental changes, frequently portraying space or time travel and alien life on other planets. I know that my novel is a science fiction because of the technological advances and how the setting is the future.
When reading, I usually look for adventure novels. I think why i’m so interested in these types of novels is because someday I would like to travel the world and discover new things. I also notice myself watching adventure movies, along myself reading adventure novels.
